Explorations

Explorations are the larger rooms of the site. They usually begin with a question, a claim, or a suspicion that something might be connected to something else: selfhood, consciousness, luck, pain, AI, language, attention, family, belief.

The point is not length, exactly. Explorations are often longer than Reflections, but that isn’t the real distinction. The real distinction is pressure. These pieces try to think something through. They move toward a thesis, even if the thesis changes along the way. Sometimes they become personal. Sometimes they reach outward. Usually they do both, because the ideas that matter most rarely stay neatly separate from the life that produced them.

If Reflections are where I respond to what catches my attention, Explorations are where I follow what keeps returning.
